Sending a water sample is not a formality, but a deliberate gesture of participation in the artistic practice of Dima Rebus. If you would like to propose a sample, please include an account of its history, origin, location, date, and the circumstances of its collection.
Samples may come from anywhere in the world, but if further communication takes place, the sender should be aware that the sample may need to be sent to London, UK, where the artist’s studio is based.
The sample should not exceed 250 ml and must be contained in a transparent, tightly sealed container. For safety reasons, only samples whose contents can be visually assessed before opening can be considered. Natural traces of the environment are acceptable — for example, minor mineral sediment or small plant fragments. Please do not send human biological materials or any hazardous, toxic, or harmful substances.
Receipt of a sample does not mean that it will automatically be included in a work: each case is considered individually. Due to the large number of incoming messages and samples, a reply cannot be guaranteed. By sending a sample, please understand this in advance and regard the act of submission itself as an independent gesture of participation, one that does not require confirmation or further correspondence.
